About The Principal...

Mr.V.N.N .Panicker was borned in the year 1933 in a progressive and revolutionary family of Nair.He took his M.A and M.Ed from Kerala and Ban galore respectively. Since he had the passion and zeal for propagation of education ,from his very childhood, he started his career as a teacher in the year 1957.He served in schools run by the renowned Steel Authority of India ltd. at Rourkela and Purnapani before taking up reigns of Deepika English Medium School,Rourkela.During his 47 years of service in the field of education he is the Founder Principal-Secretary of Deepika English Medium School at Rourkela .Deepika English Medium School was established in the year1976 with a total of a mere 76 students to 3500  students in the year 2003 with classes from I to XII and the number of students were increasing year by year. He is the Secretary of the Deepika English Medium School(Tensa) which was established in the year 1990.

                        He is the President of Akhila Bharata Ayyappa Seva Samaj, Rourkela branch and he is the pioneer to bring up the Lord Shri Ayappa Temple at Sector-3, Rourkela .

                        As he loves discipline in every aspects of life he inculcates discipline among the students of various age groups. He is also a successful leader. With over 130 staff members and being a highly energetic person its worth explaining that he devotes all his energies in the field of education, character building etc.He remained a bachelor till date. He was the Head Examiner of classX and class XII of Central board of secondary education(CBSE’s) for more than six years. Under his stewardship, the school have functioned to the maximum with all round meritorious performance in all fields at International, National and State Levels.

                        Ever since he started heading the school the results of class -X and class- XII at CBSE Examinations  were near to 100% with outstanding grades. Many of his students occupy every high and responsible positions in Governments, Publics and Private sector organizations as Engineers ,Doctors,Technocrats,Scientists at All India Civil Services besides a large  number of students are serving in USA, UK, Australia etc.

                        He is a strong and dynamic person with strong administrative abilities and affectionate towards one and all. He  has a desire to serve for the society selflessly and spread  education to youngsters till his last breath.

                        Henry Adams once said “A TEACHER AFFECTS ETERNITY. HE CAN NEVER TELL WHERE HIS INFLUENCE ENDS." So is the case with our beloved Principal  Shri V.N.N.Panicker as more jewels have are being added to his crowns.

The website on Deepika E. M. School had been designed by the 6^th semester B.E.(InfoTech.) student and assisted by the technical staff  of Padmanava College of Engineering on project basis.
